Darcy was elected to Menifee’s inaugural City Council in June 2008. She currently represents the council on the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) as well as the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) Community, Economic, and Human Development Committee.
Employed by the County of Riverside since 2001, Darcy serves as a staff member to Supervisor Marion Ashley. Her job duties include representing the Supervisor at meetings and events and working on policy issues and projects that relate to: Economic Development, Water, Planning, Transportation, Land-Use, Flood Control, Habitat Conservation Planning and other regional issues that impact Riverside County.
Darcy is dedicated to investing her time in causes that are important to improving the community. Her involvement includes the Board of Directors for the Menifee Valley Community Cupboard, Member of the Eastern Municipal Water District Advisory Committee, Member of the Menifee Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Menifee Valley Women’s Club, and a ten-year veteran on the Incorporation Committee.
Darcy’s formal education is focused on business, economics, and organizational management. She has attended Palomar College, the University of San Diego and has earned several professional development certificates.
Living in the rural area of the city has given Darcy and her family the ability to regularly rescue many types of unwanted pets and farm animals. Over the years, they have made their home welcome to a Pot Belly Pig, Moluccan Cockatoos’, Rex Rabbits and a Desert Tortoise. Their farm also includes pigmy goats, chickens, roosters, turkeys, four cats and their Welsh Corgi.
Darcy, her husband Tom, and their three daughters Amanda, Karly and Molly have lived in Menifee since 1992.
